The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department will present a variety of Easter events.

East Athens Community Center, located at 400 McKinley Drive will host its “EGG-stra Special Easter Egg Hunt” on Saturday, March 27 from 10:00 a.m.- noon.  This special holiday event is for ages 10 and younger.  Baxter Bunny will bring crafts and activities to enjoy, followed by the hunt for the prized egg to win an Easter basket!  Masks are required.  Due to COVID-19 capacity guidelines, online registration is required.  For more information, please call 706-613-3593.

Lay Park, located at 297 Hoyt St, will host the “Easter Egg Scramble” on Saturday, April 3 from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. This special holiday program is for ages 10 and younger. Activities include Easter themed games and crafts and an opportunity to have a picture taken with the Easter Bunny. The event will conclude with an Easter Egg Hunt with participants divided by age groups. Masks are required. Memorial Park, located at 293 Gran Ellen Drive, will host its annual “Breakfast with the Bunny” on Saturday, April 3 from 9:00 a.m. – noon.   Attendees will enjoy a to-go biscuit breakfast, take home a craft pack, and a socially distanced photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny! Each individual (adults AND children) must register and pay for this program. The event is divided into 20-minute time slots, which will have a maximum of 10 participants each. Time slots begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at noon. Children under the age of one are admitted free of charge and are not required to register.
