Jackson Spalding was named by Forbes as one of America’s best PR agencies.
Forbes partnered with leading market research firm Statista to create its inaugural ranking of top PR firms across the country. To establish its list, Statista surveyed more than 12,700 experts and 20,500 customers, who collectively nominated more than 5,000 firms that were considered. The survey was conducted in June and July of this year, during a time when agencies were addressing the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Survey participants indicated how likely they were to nominate an agency on a scale of zero to 10. Jackson Spalding earned a five-star designation, given to the 100 agencies that exceeded the median score. The full list includes 200 honorees.
“Twenty-five years ago, Jackson Spalding was founded on the promise of becoming a fiercely independent agency partner, respected for our strategy, creativity and ability to garner trust,” said Jackson Spalding cofounder Glen Jackson. “To be recognized as one of America’s best PR agencies makes us incredibly proud, but also humbled and energized to continue serving our clients with the first-class services they expect as our dynamic industry continues to evolve.”
In an article accompanying the release of its list, Forbes highlighted the ways successful PR agencies have diversified their services beyond the classic pitch. “Whether it’s becoming more like consulting firms and advertising agencies or adding new offerings like research from data insights and surveys, PR firms have spent years integrating in deeper ways with clients,” the article noted.
The article also pointed to several strategies that agencies including Jackson Spalding have adopted to help navigate the disruptions of 2020. Those include the launch of diversity & inclusion practices; increased focus on owned media and internal communications; and the creation of real-time COVID-19 trackers to inform clients on how the pandemic is affecting businesses.
Jackson Spalding has undertaken other measures to respond to this year’s tumult on behalf of its clients. Those include webinars on how brands can safely and effectively enter conversations surrounding the presidential election, protect their culture during times of hardship, and learn from other countries in the face of a global pandemic. The agency has also been a leader in developing initiatives that serve local communities during this year of uncertainty.
In 2020, the agency has also been recognized for several of its client campaigns. Most recently, Jackson Spalding earned multiple Georgia PRSA Phoenix Awards for projects with Primrose Schools, Piedmont Healthcare and Toyota Motor North America – an effort that was also recognized as one of the top 40 campaigns in the world by the 2020 Global SABRE Awards.
