Georgia Power has launched its first electric vehicle (EV) fast charger in Lavonia at the Dunkin’ at 14177 Jones Street. Georgia Power currently owns and operate 37 fast charging stations across the state, with more coming in the next year. Each of these fast-charging stations includes Level 2 plug. To celebrate its addition, the company is offering complimentary charging for drivers at this location for the next 30 days.
“We as Dunkin franchisees are committed in our doing part for the green infrastructure, as a part of that initiative we are partnering with Georgia Power in creating the interstate charging corridor for electric cars,” said Nilay Patel, managing partner of Jam Investment Holdings, LLC. “We are centrally located for EV drivers in the tri-county area.”
The new Georgia Power community EV charger is made possible by the support of the Georgia Public Service Commission (PSC) to provide affordable, EV charging options to drivers and customers.
Georgia Power is committed to growing the electric vehicle market and is dedicated to providing customers with the resources they need to learn more about the benefits and potential savings of driving electric. Learn more at www.GeorgiaPower.com/EV.
