Performing Ensemble. “Emotions” is a celebration of dance and the various emotions that movement expresses. Music will range from classical music to the soulful blues of Nina Simone to contemporary and gospel. Various styles of dance will be presented including ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary, and praise dance. Through this journey, the students began to tap into the various emotions each piece of music presented and how it would change the dynamics of their physical, emotional, and mental expressions and the various dance steps that were created.
Invited guests include Accelerated Programs 1-4, EAEDC’s Single class students: Ballet & Tap for 4-6 Years Old, Ballethnic Youth Ensemble from East Point, Georgia, and dance majors and minors from University of Georgia’s Department of Dance.
