TCSG Foundation Welcomes New President and Trustees

The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) Foundation recently installed a new president and welcomed five new trustees to its ranks. The new trustees represent some of Georgia’s most lucrative and high-demand career industries.
Aleisa Howell, a certified public accountant (CPA) and partner at Mauldin & Jenkins was named President of the TCSG Foundation Board of Trustees. Howell specializes in not-for-profit and governmental practice at Mauldin & Jenkins. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She serves on the Advisory Board of the Georgia Foundation for Independent Colleges and on the Georgia Society of CPA’s Not-For-Profit Task Force. Howell is a graduate of Franklin University.
The five new trustees joining the Foundation are:
Dan Baker, founder and president of Duffey Southeast Construction headquartered in Cedartown, Georgia.
Lindsay Bridges, vice president of communications and member services for Georgia Electric Membership Corporation (EMC).
Jesse Killings, vice president of operations for Atlanta Gas Light, a subsidiary of Southern Company Gas.
Tammy Palmgren, Medicare sales director at Kaiser Permanente, one of the United States’ leading health care providers and not-for-profit health plans.
Marjie Dickey, agricultural water project manager for the Environmental Protection Division of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.
The TCSG Foundation is expanding its board to ensure a greater depth of representation of Georgia’s workforce needs and high-demand career fields.
“We are thrilled to see the focus on technical education in Georgia continuing to increase and, with it, an interest in making an impact statewide via service and support to the TCSG Foundation,” said TCSG Foundation executive director, Juli Fields. “The role of this board is crucial to our growth and we are delighted to have these committed Georgians leading our mission.”
TCSG Commissioner Matt Arthur welcomed the new president and trustees. “Aleisa Howell’s expertise in non-profits and higher education makes her the perfect person to lead the TCSG Foundation,” said Arthur. I look forward to working with her and the entire Foundation board to expand our impact throughout Georgia. The role of the Foundation is critically important to our mission and I’m proud to see it growing.”
