OCS Ranked Highest in Northeast Georgia for SAT Achievement

Oconee County Schools has earned a mean SAT composite score of 1157 for the 2019 testing period, well above state and national mean scores. OCS is ranked fourth in the state and is just one of two systems ranked in the top 10 in Northeast Georgia.
“I commend our recent graduates, students, and all of their teachers throughout their K-12 experience for exceptional SAT achievement,” said Superintendent Jason L. Branch. “These results demonstrate not only students’ academic excellence, but also how well-prepared they are for post-secondary experiences.”
College Board redesigned the SAT for 2017 on two sections: 1) evidence-based reading and writing and 2) mathematics. This set a new baseline for future years’ comparisons, with scores since 2017 below:
