The Chamber of Commerce, Athens Community Career Academy, United Way, and Athens Technical College, with the support of Georgia Power, are hosting a Business-Education Summit Thursday, October 17, from 8:30 a.m. -12:15 p.m. (box lunch provided).   This event will largely focus on current and expected job availability in manufacturing and hospitality trades.   Both of those job sectors are growing with steady wage increases expected.  There will be opportunities for students and business leaders to share thoughts about expanding available internships and overall awareness of those business sectors.
