Landmark Properties Delivers Nine New Student Housing Projects

Landmark Properties, a vertically integrated student housing development company, opened nine new student housing projects to kick off the 2019 fall term. The new projects represent a total of 6,166 beds and are valued in excess of $950 million.

The 2019 deliveries include: The Station at Raleigh near North Carolina State, The Standard at Flagstaff near Northern Arizona University, The Standard at Auburn near Auburn University, The Mark at Tucson near the University of Arizona, The Retreat at Denton near the University of North Texas, The Retreat at Illinois near the University of Illinois, The Standard at Tallahassee near Florida State University, The Standard at Tampa near the University of South Florida, and The Station at State College near Penn State.

The Station at Raleigh — A cottage-style community located adjacent to N.C. State’s Biomedical Campus, The Station at Raleigh features 174 detached homes and 658 bedrooms. Floor plans include one, three and four bedrooms. Community amenities include a 10,500-square-foot clubhouse, resort-style swimming pool, hot tub, 24-hour fitness center, sauna, study lounge, computer lab, yoga studio, sand volleyball court and outdoor grilling area. The Station at Raleigh opened August 10, 2019.

The Standard at Flagstaff — A mixed-use development located just 400 yards west of Northern Arizona University’s campus at Route 66 and Blackbird Roost, The Standard at Flagstaff includes 248 apartment homes and 763 bedrooms. Floor plans range from studios to five bedrooms. Community amenities include a 13,100-square-foot clubhouse, four hot tubs, two climbing boulders, a second-story terrace, outdoor grilling area, 24-hour fitness center with group fitness rooms, coffee bar, golf simulator, game rooms, study rooms and a computer lounge. In addition to more than 305,500 square feet of residential area, The Standard at Flagstaff also includes nearly 16,200 square feet of commercial retail space and opened August 22, 2019.

The Standard at Auburn — A mixed-use development located on E. Glenn Ave. and N. Gay St., just two blocks away from Auburn’s campus, The Standard features 219 apartment homes and 683 bedrooms. Floor plan options range from studios to 5 bedrooms. Community amenities include a 13,300-square-foot clubhouse, rooftop pool, 24-hour fitness center, poolside gazebos, gaming area, outdoor grilling area, study lounge and computer lab. In addition to more than 250,600 square feet of residential area, The Standard at Auburn also includes over 16,200 square feet of commercial retail space and opened August 10.

The Mark at Tucson — Located just 0.4 miles from the University of Arizona, The Mark at Tucson is an urban infill project with 154 apartment homes and 595 bedrooms. Floor plans range from studios to four-bedroom units and all include bedroom-bathroom parity. Community amenities include a 3,900-square-foot clubhouse, a rooftop pool, 24-hour fitness center, sauna, golf simulator, outdoor grilling area, study lounge and computer lab. In addition to 218,700-plus square feet of residential area, It opened July 27, 2019.

The Retreat at Denton — The Retreat at Denton is a cottage-style community located one mile west of the University of North Texas’ campus. Situated on nearly 21.5 acres, The Retreat features 189 detached homes, totaling 700 bedrooms. Floor plans include 2BR/2BA, 3BR/3BA and 4BR/4BA. Community amenities include an 11,000-square-foot clubhouse, resort-style swimming pool, dog park, 24-hour fitness center, café-style study lounge, computer lab, full-time shuttle service, golf simulator, sand volleyball court and an outdoor grilling area. The community opened August 17.

The Retreat at Illinois — The Retreat at Illinois is a cottage-style community located 0.2 miles northeast of the University of Illinois’ campus on North Lincoln Avenue. The Retreat includes 126 detached homes, totaling 476 bedrooms. Floor plans include 2BR/2BA, 3BR/3BA and 4BR/4BA. Community amenities include a 10,200-plus-square-foot clubhouse, resort-style swimming pool, hot tubs, 24-hour fitness center, study lounge, computer lab, hammocks and corn hole area. This community also opened on August 17, 2019.

The Standard at Tallahassee — The Standard at Tallahassee is located at N. Macomb St. and W. Virginia St., just one city block from Florida State’s campus. The mixed-use development includes 253 apartment homes and 868 bedrooms. Floor plan options range from studios to six bedrooms, and all apartments feature bedroom/bathroom parity. Community amenities include a 14,000-square-foot clubhouse, resort-style swimming pool, 24-hour fitness center, sauna, golf simulator, outdoor grilling area, study lounge and computer lab. In addition to more than 291,300 square feet of residential space, The Standard at Tallahassee also includes 3,300 square feet of commercial retail space. It opened August 24, 2019.

The Standard at Tampa — A mixed-use development located 0.2 miles west of the University of South Florida campus on University Square Dr., The Standard at Tampa features 209 apartment homes and 755 bedrooms. Floor plan options range from one to five bedrooms. Community amenities include a 13,000-square-foot clubhouse, resort-style swimming pool, 24-hour fitness center, sauna, golf simulator, outdoor grilling area, study lounge and computer lab. In addition to more than 257,300 square feet of residential area, The Standard at Tampa also includes more than 2,000 square feet of commercial retail space and opened July 20, 2019.

The Station at State College (Phase II) — Located one mile from Penn State University, The Station at State College is a cottage-style community featuring 162 cottages with 668 total beds. Floor plans include 1-, 2-, 3-, 4- and 5-bedroom options and offer bedroom/bathroom parity for every home. Community amenities feature a shared clubhouse, resort-style swimming pool, 24-hour fitness center, study lounge, yoga studio, golf simulator and sand volleyball court. The second phase of the community opened on August 1, 2019.

Earlier this summer, Landmark Properties announced groundbreakings for seven new student housing projects. The new developments will add more than 4,450 new beds to Landmark’s portfolio and increase its total assets under construction to more than $2.9 billion.
