Secretary Raffensperger Recognizes Georgia as Small Business Leader

In honor of National Small Business Week, Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger has recognized Georgia as the top state for starting and growing a small business.
“As a resource for business owners and as the state regulatory body for all new investment, our office understands how small businesses can lift Georgia’s communities up to new heights of prosperity and opportunity,” said Secretary Raffensperger. “I am committed to cultivating a pro-business regulatory environment to support the entrepreneurs and employees who drive Georgia’s economy.”
Georgia has been recognized as the best state in which to do business for six years running and has been ranked as the top state for small business climate. With about 1 million small businesses comprising most business in our state, small businesses are the cornerstone of prosperity and growth in Georgia.
As the genesis for business in Georgia, the office of Secretary of State helps entrepreneurs and business owners start new ventures by registering every new corporation, LLC, and LP in the state. The Secretary of State also helps put Georgians to work through professional licensing, ensuring that Georgia’s workers have the training and resources to pursue high-paying jobs in leading industries.
National Small Business Week is Monday, May 6th through Saturday, May 11th.
