The Leadership Georgia Board of Trustees seeks nominations for the Class of 2020!

Each year, the Leadership Georgia Board of Trustees strives to select a class of 63 individuals representative of the great state of Georgia. We concentrate on diversity of race, gender, geographic region, and background in the selections process as well as our founders’ mandate that two-thirds of the class be composed of individuals representing the business community. We are proud of our past recruitment efforts as nominations and subsequent applications for the Class of 2019 were the highest in the history of our organization resulting in the Class of 2019 being the most diverse class ever.

While we are proud that the class is diverse as ever, there is still work to do. We must continue to recruit strong, emerging leaders from all walks of life and from every nook and cranny in Georgia, and we need your help in doing so. As alumni and supporters of Leadership Georgia, you play a vital role in ensuring the application pool is representative of the state of Georgia.

The Board of Trustees asks you to consider nominating at least one person for the Class of 2020. Nominees typically range from 25 to 45 years of age. Please keep in mind past applicants who have not yet been selected to participate in Leadership Georgia; we invite you to nominate them again. Additionally, the Board of Trustees hopes to see nominations more representative of the agriculture, rural, minority and business populations as the applicant pool has become increasingly less reflective of these populations.

To nominate someone for the Class of 2020, the next “Best Class Ever,” nominations must be submitted no later than May 10, 2019.

Once you finish the online nomination form, please be sure to click “submit.” In addition to nominating leaders for the class, we ask that you follow up with your nominee(s) to ensure that they complete and submit their application by the application deadline of June 12, 2019.
