On Tuesday, April 2, 2019, The Athens-Clarke County Mayor and Commission voted to approve the proposed July 1, 2019 – June 30, 2020 Annual Action Plan funding for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Programs. The funding recommendations were published here and in the Athens Banner Herald on March 24, 2019.  

At this time, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has not released CDBG and HOME allocations. Due to this delay, the Annual Action Plan will not be available for public review on April 4, 2019 as noted in the Public Notice published in the Athens Banner Herald on March 24, 2019.

Once HUD releases the CDBG and HOME allocations, the Athens-Clarke County Unified Government will adjust the draft Annual Action Plan, notify the community, and have copies available for public review. The agency funding amounts may change slightly. At that time, the Annual Action Plan document will be available for review and comment for 30 days on the Athens-Clarke County Housing and Community Development Department webpage at https://www.accgov.com/hcd and at several physical locations within the community.
