“Art with Recycled Materials” Program at Lyndon House Arts Center April 4th

The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department presents “Art with Recycled Materials” program on Thursday, April 4 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at Lyndon House Arts Center.

Participants, ages 8 and older, will make art with plastic waste under the guidance of visiting artist Made Bayak a Balinese artist, educator, environmentalist, musician making art with plastic waste. Participants will learn about the ecology of our planet and how non-recyclable materials are affecting our natural environment all over the world.

Through his ongoing project Plasticology – a concept that fuses the words “plastic” and “ecology” – he is exploring Bali’s ecological, social, cultural and political issues. He is visiting Athens during April and May 2019 and is expanding his vision and insight on ecological issues outside of his native Bali.
Registration is underway at www.accgov.com/leisure by clicking on the “Arts” tab. The fee is $20 per person and includes pizza and soft drinks.
