Smith Adcock & Company, an Athens-based certified public accounting firm, has hired Jeff Kellar as their new tax director.

Kellar has 30 years of experience and specializes in international tax, merger, acquisitions and succession planning, and helping clients maximize the long-term value of their companies.

“I am excited to serve the entrepreneurial minds of the technology sectors in Atlanta and Athens, assisting them as they continue to grow and become successful companies,” said Kellar.

Kellar is an Oconee County native and an alumnus of the University of Georgia. He previously worked for a global computer technology company in Atlanta. While he will now be based in the firm’s Athens office, he will work with clients in Atlanta, Athens and beyond.

“We are excited to have Jeff join our team here in Athens. His expertise and background will be a great addition to our team here and we are excited to welcome Jeff and his family back to the Athens area,” said Rodney Chandler, managing partner of the Athens office.
