Dr. Hajra Hasan Joins St. Mary's Family Medicine

Hajra Hasan, D.O., will join St. Mary's Family Medicine, a new primary care practice in Oconee County opened earlier this month by St. Mary's Medical Group, effective Dec. 17.
Dr. Hasan provides comprehensive outpatient primary and preventive care for adults and children ages 5 and above. Her services include lifelong wellness care, routine sick care, diagnostics, and treatment, including management of both acute and chronic medical problems. She has a special interest in women's health and adolescent care.
Dr. Hasan comes to St. Mary's Family Medicine from Johnson and Murthy Family Practice, another St. Mary's Medical Group clinic location in Athens. She came to Athens in 2016 from Augusta, Ga., where she practiced family and emergency medicine in several settings, including Riverwood Primary Care, Mednow Urgent Care, and the Georgia Regents University Hospital Emergency Department.
A graduate of Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Ga., Dr. Hasan earned her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Suwanee, Ga., and completed her family medicine residency at Georgia Regents University in Augusta. She and her husband, John Edry, M.D., a neurologist with St. Mary's Neurological Specialists, have two children.
