The Georgia Department of Labor is helping Federal Express hire staff for its facility near Athens.
 
The event will be held Aug. 15 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the GDOL Athens Career Center, 150 Evelyn C. Neely Dr., Athens.
 
The company is looking for package handlers and non-package handlers with starting pay that begins at $12.50 or $13 per hour.
