Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia to Change Brand Name to Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia, which includes Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia, Inc. and Blue Cross Blue Shield Healthcare Plan of Georgia, Inc., is changing its brand name to Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield (Anthem), taking on a trusted name that symbolizes quality for millions of consumers across the country. Additionally, Greater Georgia Life, an affiliated Anthem plan, is changing its brand name to Anthem Life. The change will provide a recognizable brand identity for innovative programs, services and tools for existing and new consumers.
The name change will take effect Jan. 1, 2019.

While our name may be changing, we remain committed to providing the same high quality, affordable plans and services that our consumers expect and maintaining strong collaborative partnerships with our industry leading network of medical professionals who provide high quality care to our members every day.”
BCBSGa employs approximately 4,900 associates who call Georgia home.
