Governor Deal Appoints Three to REACH Georgia Foundation Board

William P. Leahy, REACH Georgia Foundation Board
Leahy is AT&T’s Southeast Region president and the president of AT&T Georgia. He has 40 years of experience in multiple managerial disciplines within the telecommunications industry. Leahy is a member of the executive committee and the board of governors of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce. He also sits on the executive board for the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. Leahy previously sat on the board of directors for the John. F. Kennedy Library Foundation. He is a former trustee of Merrimack College and a former member of the American Legislative Exchange Council. Leahy also served as senior lecturer of Mathematics at Boston University. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Merrimack College and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts. Leahy resides in Atlanta.
Brad J. Sims, REACH Georgia Foundation Board
Sims is the executive director of Internal Relations for the Technical College System of Georgia. He previously worked in the budget office for the Georgia Department of Community Health and has more than 20 years of experience in state government. Sims attended Mercer University and Kennesaw State University. He and his husband, Justin, live in Woodstock.
Fran Smith, REACH Georgia Foundation Board
Smith is a former telecommunications engineer for BE&K Building Group. She has held operational and advisory positions with startup companies in the Atlanta area. Smith is a graduate and the program chair of Leadership Georgia. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama. Smith and her husband, Russell, have three children and reside in Braselton.
