East Central Georgia Gains $7.2M Road Rehab Investment Awards

The 27-county east central Georgia district recently received $7.21 million worth of state highway maintenance and rehab awards.
 
These projects all have completion dates of March 31, 2019.

  • Baldwin/Putnam County: Roadside Specialties LLC was awarded the $278,000 project spanning 5.663 miles of asphalt fog sealing and restriping on US 441/State Route (SR) 24 from south of Marshall Road to north of Cay Drive. This includes sealing the surface with one or more applications of hot liquid asphalt emulsions to correct deficiencies and waterproof the sections from future damage.

  • Emanuel County: Everett Dykes Grassing will complete three resurfacing and shoulder building projects bid together for $1.346 million covering over 10 miles. This work is funded by Transportation Investment Act collections.

    • Quick Road beginning at SR 4 and ending at County Road (CR) 267;

    • Old Kenfield Road from east of SR 4 and ending at the Stillmore City limit;

    • Parrish Pond Road at the Twin City limit and ending at CR 293;

  • Oglethorpe County: E.R. Snell Contractor was awarded the $4.994 million project for 17.450 miles of milling, plant mix resurfacing and shoulder rehabilitation on SR 10 from the Clarke County line to the Wilkes County line.

  • Treutlen County: Everett Dykes Grassing has the $590,000 project for 8.085 miles of milling and plant mix resurfacing on SR 15 from the Montgomery County line to south of I-16.
