A new restaurant and bar has appeared on Athens food scene! Complete with great food and a scenic view, The Falls Restaurant will officially be celebrating their Soft Opening from April 10-14, 2018 at The Falls of Oconee shopping center located at 8851 Macon Highway. The Full Opening will take place on April 17, 2018.

Inspired by the local landscape, The Falls offers spacious seating options in a two-story picturesque dining room or by the fire pit on the outdoor patio overlooking the waterfall at McNutt Creek. The interior of the restaurant embraces a modern ambiance with a sophisticated color palette of blues, grays, and refined native woods. The Falls also boasts a jaw-dropping Live-edge bar, a menu of handcrafted cocktails, wine and local craft beer to compliment the variety of taste options on the menu.

The new restaurant's team is led by Executive Chef Ryker Scott, owner Carlos Miranda, General Manager Henrico Feliciano, and Assistant General Manager Alexandre Dugourd. “We are extremely excited to be opening our doors and to offer a place for the community to gather over great food. With the beautiful scenery surrounding our restaurant, we know that this will be the perfect place for friends and family to enjoy dinner together” said Miranda, who is also the owner of The Treehouse Market.

The Falls will be serving an New American menu that is completely handcrafted in the kitchen. “From artisanal breads and pastas to meat that is cut in house, we craft everything in our kitchen and source all produce from the local farmers,” said Scott.
For special events and private parties, The Oak Room can seat up to 80 individuals with custom arrangements for food, drinks, technology and sound equipment. The back patio of the restaurant can also be booked for private events.

“We envision The Oak Room to be a place for weddings, rehearsal dinners, as well as host meetings for the many businesses in Athens,” said Henrico Feliciano. “We are honored to be part of the growth and opportunity that is happening in our community.”

The Falls restaurant and shoppes are a new development by Kelly Mahoney and Brian Gianone of Strategic Development. Strategic Development is part of the ongoing developments around the Old Macon Highway area, including Athens Ridge Apartments. They are looking forward to continue creating new destinations around the Athens area.

The Falls will serve dinner and drinks 6 days a week, Tuesday-Sunday from 2-10 pm and stay open an extra hour on Friday and Saturday nights. The Bar Menu will begin service at 2:00 PM and the Dinner Menu will open at 5:00 PM. Reservations are not necessary, but encouraged. Dress is casual.
