Eaton Names Short Plant Manager of Athens Facility

Power management company Eaton has appointed Andy Short plant manager of its Athens Vehicle Group facility, effective March 1.
In his new position, Short will be responsible for leading the operations at the facility with a focus on continuous improvement and key strategic initiatives supporting the Vehicle Group North America’s short- and long-term business plans. He will report to Todd Woods, director of operations, Vehicle Group North America.
“Andy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with a strong background in quality and quality processes,” said Woods. “His operational experience and proven leadership make him the ideal candidate to lead the Athens team to the next level of performance.”
Short joined Eaton in 2005 and has held positions of increasing responsibility within the quality function. Most recently he served as vice president, Quality, Vehicle Group North America. Prior to joining Eaton, Short worked for Ford Motor and Visteon.
Short holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, and a master’s degree in business administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The Eaton facility in Athens produces superchargers used in the automotive, personal watercraft, agricultural and hydropower markets.
