Clarke Central's Hayes Phillips Named District IV Star Student

Clarke Central High School senior Hayes Phillips has been named PAGE STAR Student for Region IV. The statewide PAGE STAR winner will be named at a banquet in Atlanta on April 23, 2018.
Phillips chose Clarke Central physics and computer science teacher Scott Swain as his STAR teacher.
Now in its 60th year, the Student Teacher Achievement Recognition program is sponsored by the Professional Association of Georgia Educators and the Georgia Chamber of Commerce.
The honor is based on SAT scores, but students must also be in the top 10 percent of their class, or the top 10 students, based on grade point average.
