State Transportation Board veterans Johnny Floyd, Stacey Key and Dana Lemon were unanimously re-elected to five-year terms on the State Transportation Board.  They each were affirmed by Georgia General Assembly members whose districts are totally or partially within their specific congressional district.
 
Johnny Floyd was originally elected to the Board in 2008 and represents Congressional District Two in southwest Georgia, including the cities of Albany, Americus, Bainbridge, and portions of Columbus and Macon. Floyd currently chairs the Administrative Committee and serves on the Legislative, Program Delivery/Consultant Services/Contractors, and Property Utilization committees. He previously served as board chairman.
 
“Transportation is the hub for economic development,” Floyd said. “I am proud and pleased to continue to serve my constituents in CD 2 and to do my part in improving connectivity in Georgia.”
 
Floyd served in the Georgia House of Representatives for 19 years, including time as vice chair of the House Transportation Committee. He is the president of timber and realty companies.
    
Stacey Key was originally elected to the State Transportation Board in 2013 and serves the residents of Congressional District Five, which includes Clayton, DeKalb and Fulton counties. Key chairs the Statewide Transportation Planning/Strategic Planning Committee and serves on the Administrative, Equal Access and Intermodal committees.
 
“This is a critical time for transportation in Georgia as we strive to balance maintaining infrastructure and addressing congestion,” Key said. “I am pleased to enter my second term on the Board to further innovative transportation solutions that improve the quality of life for the people of Georgia."

Key was named by Engineering Georgia magazine as one of their “100 Influential Women to Know” for 2018. She is president and CEO of the Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council and has more than 20 years of management experience in sales, marketing, operations and customer satisfaction for global brands. Key serves on the boards of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and Midtown Alliance. She is a graduate of Leadership Atlanta Class of 2014.

Dana Lemon, originally elected to the State Transportation Board in 2003, was its first female member. She serves Congressional District 13, comprising Clayton, Cobb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton and Henry counties. Lemon is chair of the Program Delivery/Consultant Services/Contractors Committee and serves on Equal Access, Intermodal, P3 and Gateways committees.

“I am honored to continue to work with the Board towards fulfilling GDOT’s vision for building and maintaining a dynamic transportation network,” Lemon said. “And I am especially committed to ensuring business opportunities for minority and disadvantaged business owners.

Lemon was named by Engineering Georgia magazine as one of their “100 Influential Women to Know” for 2018. She is president of W.D. Lemon & Sons Funeral Home and serves on the Foundation Board for Clayton State University and the Board of Visitors for Davidson College. Lemon is a graduate of Leadership Atlanta Class of 2012.
