Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center’s open house and ribbon cutting event for its new Child Development Center has been rescheduled to noon Friday due to Athens’ winter weather.
Piedmont’s Child Development Center, which is scheduled to open its doors on Jan. 29, is a 5,000-square-foot building, with a 4,000-square-foot playground, open to all hospital employees and community members with children, ages 6 weeks to 4 years old. The center will be open Monday through Friday, with extended hours from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and will be managed by Prodigies Child Care Management, based in Athens.
An open house is scheduled following the ribbon cutting and the center is now accepting applications from both hospital employees and community members.
