State Representative Deborah Gonzalez (D-Athens) announced that she will select several local artists from House District 117 to display their artwork in her office, which is located in the Coverdell Legislative Office Building in Atlanta. As a part of this art initiative, Rep. Gonzalez will showcase artwork and will also invite selected artists to the Georgia State Capitol for a day and highlight the artist and their work on her Facebook page.

“Many talented and amazing individuals call District 117 home, and I’d like to showcase a few of these wonderful artists and their work every few weeks,” said Rep. Gonzalez. “This series will shed the spotlight on talented individuals from our community, and I look forward to displaying their incredible work in Atlanta.”

The first artist to be selected as a part of this initiative is Stanley Bermudez. Mr. Bermudez’s artwork will be on display in Rep. Gonzalez’s office until March 1, 2018.
