On Tuesday, January 23, 2018, tourism professionals from throughout the state will gather for the 2ndAnnual State of Tourism Breakfast and hear from all seven major candidates for governor in 2018.  Georgia Department of Economic Development Commissioner Pat Wilson is also scheduled to speak.
 
Hosted by the Georgia Travel Association, the event is being held at the College Football Hall of Fame (250 Marietta St.) in downtown Atlanta. Doors open at 6:45 a.m. and the program will begin promptly at 7:30 a.m.
 
Candidates confirmed include Stacey Abrams, Lt. Governor Casey Cagle, Stacey Evans, Hunter Hill, Secretary of State Brian Kemp, Clay Tippens, and State Senator Michael Williams.  Each candidate has been asked to speak about their plans to support and grow this $60.8 billion sector of Georgia’s economy.
