The University of Georgia Parents Leadership Council Grants Program is seeking undergraduate student groups who demonstrate a positive impact on the university to apply to receive funding for the 2018-2019 academic year.

Grant applications are due Jan. 23 by 5 p.m. Grants will be accepted from only UGA schools, colleges, units, departments, divisions or student organizations registered with the Center for Student Activities and Involvement.

Eligible groups and programs show a clear commitment to enhancing the student experience at UGA.

"Parents Leadership Council Grant funds make it possible for us to mentor and engage first-year students in the artistic, cultural, intellectual, recreational and social activities on and off campus," said William McDonald, UGA dean of students and a Parents Council Grant recipient.

Since 2002, the council has funded $1.7 million in grants to various programs and organizations on campus, include the Counseling and Psychiatric Services Center at the University Health Center, the Office of the Dean of Students, Designated Dawgs Safe Rides program, Campus Kitchen at UGA, and more.
