Former Governor and Ag Sec. Sonny Perdue Presented with Resolution Honoring Service

Sen. Jeff Mullis (R – Chickamauga), along with Sen. Steve Gooch (R – Dahlonega), Sen. Butch Miller (R – Gainesville) and Sen. John Wilkinson (R – Toccoa), recently met with U.S. Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue in Washington, D.C. During their meeting, they presented him with a resolution congratulating him on his recent cabinet appointment. They also discussed agriculture issues and potential legislation that would impact the agriculture business in Georgia. The senators also met with Counselor to the President, Kellyanne Conway, to discuss other legislative initiatives in Georgia.
“It was a privilege to meet with my longtime friend Secretary Perdue in our nation’s capital,” said Sen. Mullis. “He is a Georgian who I highly respect and who represents Georgia’s values and needs at the highest level of government. I look forward to many more meetings with him in the future.”
The resolution presented to Sec. Perdue congratulated him on his appointment to President Donald J. Trump’s Cabinet and past commitment to Georgia. Before his appointment to the presidential cabinet, Sec. Perdue served as a Senator in the Georgia Senate.
The group also presented Secretary Perdue with a resolution for President Trump commending him on his dedication to keeping Americans safe and putting our national security at the forefront of his executive agenda.
