Georgia Chamber of Commerce Endorses Gaines in State House Special Election

The Georgia Chamber of Commerce announced its endorsement of Houston Gaines in the State House District 117 special election. District 117 consists of portions of Jackson, Barrow, Oconee, and Clarke counties.
 
“With big challenges facing our state, it is vital we have members in the Georgia General Assembly who understand the need for state policies that promote economic development and job growth,” said David Raynor, Georgia Chamber Senior Vice President, Public Affairs. “We believe Houston Gaines will be a friend and ally to Georgia families and their businesses in the State House, and we look forward to working with him if elected.”
 
"Working to create a business climate where we attract more high-paying jobs to the four counties that make up District 117 will be my No. 1 priority in the General Assembly,” said Houston Gaines. “I am thankful to the Georgia Chamber of Commerce members for their support and look forward to partnering with them, local leaders and our state’s economic development officials to help keep Georgia the top state in the nation to do business.”
 
The special election will be held on November 7th. Early voting has already started and will run through November 3rd.
