Oconee County Schools Graduation Rate at All-time High of 96%

Oconee County Schools has again increased its graduation rate, with the 2017 graduation rate at 95.98%, up from 95.57% last year. District and school-level scores were released today from the Georgia Department of Education, with the state’s graduation rate at 80.56%. This 4-year cohort graduation rate is based on the number of students that graduate within four years, plus one summer.

“The Class of 2017 has once again demonstrated the standard of excellence seen daily in Oconee County Schools. Our graduates were incredibly blessed to have world-class teachers who supported them on their educational journey from kindergarten to high school graduation,” said Superintendent Jason Branch.

Of note is that Oconee County has the highest graduation rate in the state with systems having 275 or more graduates, as well as the highest rate in Northeast Georgia.
