During his remarks at the Valdosta-Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce’s 2017 Federal Legislative Luncheon, U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson, R-Ga., was presented with the annual “Spirit of Enterprise Award” for his support of pro-jobs, pro-growth policies during the second session of the 114th Congress from January 2016 to January 2017.
 
“I’m proud to represent the interests of the great state of Georgia, which was recognized as the number one state in the country in which to do business for four of the last five years,” said Isakson. “All Georgians benefit from a strong economy that creates good-paying jobs and opportunities for mobility in communities throughout our state. As a businessman myself, supporting policies that help promote positive growth and development for businesses, workers and communities is natural. I’m honored to once again receive this award and to continue fighting to help hardworking Americans and job creators.”

Isakson scored a 100 percent on “key votes” on the U.S Chamber’s priorities in 2016. Isakson has consistently received this honor from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce during his time in Congress.
