Dr. Daphne Esho to Join Hometown Pediatrics

Pediatrician Daphne C. Esho, MD, is joining Hometown Pediatrics and Drs. David Sprayberry, Carrie Kelly and Tresa Chappell effective Aug. 22. New patient appointments are now being accepted.

As a pediatrician, Dr. Esho works to establish a long-term relationship with children and their families that promotes trust and open communication.  She provides compassionate, ongoing wellness care, sick care and chronic condition management from newborn to adolescence.

Dr. Esho comes to Hometown Pediatrics from Bound Brook, NJ. She received her bachelor's degree in chemistry with a minor in biology from Xavier University of Louisiana and her master's degree in medical science from Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Esho earned her doctor's degree in medicine from the Morehouse School of Medicine, Atlanta, and completed her pediatric residency at the University of Miami School of Medicine/Jackson Memorial Medical Center and Rutgers University/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

Dr. Esho is a Georgia Physician Workforce Scholarship recipient and served as 2011 president of the Morehouse chapter of the Student National Medical Association. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Her husband, Kenny Esho, MD, is joining Athens Neighborhood Health Center.
