Lt. Governor Cagle Swears in Georgia Sheriffs’ Association 2017 Executive Officers

Lt. Governor Casey Cagle recently attended the Georgia Sheriffs’ Summer Conference where he had the honor of swearing in the Georgia Sheriffs’ Association 2017 Executive Officers. Each year, the association elects new leadership to guide and support the Office of Sheriff in Georgia’s 159 counties.
 
“I want to applaud these outstanding individuals for their dedication to serving an organization that ensures the safety of our citizen,” said Lt. Governor Cagle. “This executive board represents decades of experience in law enforcement. I personally know each of these fine sheriffs and I can tell you that our law enforcement community and state will be well served under their leadership.”
 
The following sheriffs have been sworn in as the Georgia Sheriffs’ Association’s 2017 Officers:
 
·         Sheriff Terry Deese, President (Peach County)

·         Sheriff Stacy Nicholson, 1st Vice President (Gilmer County)

·         Sheriff Howard Sills, 2nd Vice President (Putnam County)

·         Sheriff Stacy Jarrard, Secretary/Treasurer (Lumpkin County)

·         Sheriff Steve Wilson, Immediate Past President (Walker County)
