Watch: Governor Unveils "World Changer"
Thursday, June 1st, 2017
Gov. Nathan Deal, in conjunction with the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement, unveiled “World Changer,” the 13th installment of the “Real Teachers Real Voices” campaign. This initiative, which highlights exceptional educators around the state, stems from feedback provided by Deal’s Teacher Advisory Committee. “World Changer” features Marla Lear, an educator at World Language Academy in Hall County.
“I get to challenge my students in their learning and in their personal growth,” said Lear. “Every day I strive to build positive learning experiences for my students, encouraging them through their learning. I tell them that ‘you are future world changers, future leaders, innovators and achievers,’ and I believe in them. I am a teacher, and I am a world changer.”
