BankSouth would like to congratulate Vice President, Jim Strickland, on his recent graduation from the Barret School of Banking.  Strickland was elected as the class representative and graduated Summa Cum Laude.  He will also serve on the Board of Regents for the school for the next three years.

This was the largest incoming and graduating class in Barret’s history and had 77 students from 13 states.  The Barret School of Banking is a non-profit independent school created by and governed by a Board of Regents, whose members are executives from banks and other firms involved with the financial services industry. The mission of the three-year school is to provide an adult learning experience for the career-oriented individual in commercial banking or a related financial services industry business. Each year, students participate in over 40 hours of classroom instruction.

“We are very proud of Jim on this accomplishment.  Not only did he take the time to attend the school of banking, he went above and beyond to engage with his classmates and graduate with honors.  I’m sure this education will benefit Jim, BankSouth, and ultimately our customers,” said Harold Reynolds, chairman and CEO, BankSouth.
