Gov. Nathan Deal, in conjunction with the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement, unveiled “Lasting Impact,” the 12th installment of the “Real Teachers Real Voices” campaign. This initiative, which highlights exceptional educators around the state, stems from feedback provided by Deal’s Teacher Advisory Committee. “Lasting Impact” features Tara Thompson, a Spanish/ESOL educator at Marion County Middle/High School.
“My goal is to encourage all of my students each time they enter my classroom,” said Thompson. “They will carry that part of me with them throughout their lives. The impact teachers have on their students lasts long after the kids leave the classroom.”
