From May 16-18, 2017, Chief Information Security Officers and other cybersecurity stakeholders from across the United States will attend the inaugural National Technology Security Coalition D.C. Fly-In. Across three days, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from elected officials, government agency executive leaders, and cybersecurity policy experts about policy agendas for 2017.
 
“Our presence on the Hill not only helps us deliver our policy messages but also reinforces NTSC as the primary resource for federal policymakers on technology security issues important to businesses,” said Patrick Gaul, Executive Director of the NTSC.
 
The D.C. Fly-In provides an opportunity for CISOs and stakeholders to educate policymakers about issues impacting their businesses, ensure that the policy priorities of the technology security industry are heard on Capitol Hill, and both discuss and learn about the latest cybersecurity policy issues from lawmakers and cybersecurity policy experts.
 
“Our 2017 legislative agenda includes many important issues such as national data breach notification legislation, the way we share threat intelligence information through private/public sector exchanges, and strong, protected encryption,” said NTSC President Larry Williams. “We look forward to engaging with lawmakers on the Hill and receiving a variety of policy briefings touching on important cybersecurity topics for CISOs.”
