Athens First Bank & Trust recently announced that Jennifer Zwirn, branch manager of the downtown office, was recognized as the first-quarter Synovus Here Matters winner.
Here Matters is a community-outreach program involving 28 local Synovus-branded banks. Zwirn was nominated by a co-worker who described her as “committed to the community and specifically to AthFest Educates, an organization that promotes and funds art and music education in Clarke County Schools.”
Zwirn serves as treasurer of AthFest Educates.
“We at AFB&T are so proud to have Jennifer recognized with this award. As described in her nomination, she has the true spirit of volunteerism and inspires others through example and encouragement,” said Bill Douglas, AFB&T president, CEO and chairman of the board.
Synovus donates $500 to the Here Matters winner’s charity of choice. Zwirn chose AthFest Educates for her donation.
