PowerSecure, a leading provider of distributed infrastructure solutions, announced the acquisition of Florida-based distributed power system service provider Power Pro-Tech Services, a privately held corporation.
The transaction is a natural extension of PowerSecure's best-in-class suite of distributed infrastructure offerings and creates a robust in-house service arm led by an outstanding management team that is recognized for servicing infrastructure assets across multiple technologies.
PowerSecure will continue to build on its proven track record of success through providing customers greater control over their energy use by integrating PPT's exceptional service capability. With the addition of PPT, PowerSecure adds the industry's largest independent service provider with an in-house technician force with expertise in the service of distributed power systems including generators, switchgear, solar inverters and fuel cells. This deal epitomizes PowerSecure's commitment to feature distributed infrastructure solutions that best meet the unique energy needs of its customers.
"PPT has a strong history of providing outstanding service for distributed infrastructure assets across multiple technologies. We are very excited to enhance our capability to optimize customer value from PowerSecure's unique solutions," said Sidney Hinton, Chief Executive Officer of PowerSecure.
PPT has a large and loyal customer base in industries ranging from data centers to hospitals, telecommunications, cable, property management, retail, and beyond. The company's 22-state service footprint aligns favorably with PowerSecure's managed distributed energy infrastructure locations. PPT not only has the scale to service PowerSecure's existing customers, but also is well-positioned to support future expansion of the "behind the meter" energy solutions offered by PowerSecure.
"We are excited about joining the PowerSecure team. Our service capabilities combined with PowerSecure's distributed infrastructure offerings are a powerful combination, providing a comprehensive energy infrastructure solution," said Robert Byrne, Chief Executive Officer of PPT. "Having worked with PowerSecure over many years, we see tremendous opportunity in enhancing PowerSecure's fully-integrated solutions."
As customers continue to diversify their energy choices, PowerSecure is committed to providing innovative and customized solutions in a rapidly changing energy landscape featuring industry-leading expertise and cutting edge solutions.
Under the terms of the agreement, PPT becomes a wholly-owned, indirect subsidiary of PowerSecure.
