Governor Unveils ‘Create Bright Futures’
Thursday, March 9th, 2017
Gov. Nathan Deal, in conjunction with the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement, unveiled “Create Bright Futures,” the sixth installment of the "Real Teachers Real Voices” campaign. This initiative, which highlights exceptional educators around the state, stems from feedback provided by Deal’s Teacher Advisory Committee. “Create Bright Futures” features Stacy Brown, an educator at Northside Elementary in Warner Robins.
“The world is changing, and it is people like you who are going to make the difference,” said Brown. “As science, technology, math and engineering change, so does the way we teach these STEM subjects in school. Education is not the way you remember it. It’s exciting and engaging.
“What is it that I create? I create bright futures. Join me. Become a teacher and create the future.”
