Governor Unveils “Be There”
Wednesday, March 22nd, 2017
Gov. Nathan Deal, in conjunction with the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement, unveiled “Be There,” the seventh installment of the “Real Teachers Real Voices” campaign. This initiative, which highlights exceptional educators around the state, stems from feedback provided by Deal’s Teacher Advisory Committee. “Be There” features April Cummings, an educator at Glenwood Primary School in Floyd County.
“Being a Georgia educator means more than teaching students for today,” said Cummings. “It means building relationships with our future leaders, thinkers and innovators – preparing them to change the world tomorrow. Be an inspiration. Be a leader. Be a teacher.”
