Athens-Clarke Commissioners Considering Downtown July Fourth Celebration

With definitive word that Georgia Square mall won’t be hosting a Fourth of July celebration and fireworks show this year, Athens-Clarke County commissioners are considering whether the county might fund an Independence Day weekend event, complete with fireworks, likely in downtown Athens.
