After recently winning an award for its initiatives to be environmentally-friendly, the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Braselton was recently named the top winner of the national Construction Owners Association of America Project Leadership Awards.

The medical center took the gold award, which is the highest of the four awards given, and was recognized for the building’s design and construction. Specifically, it was honored for its sustainable facility that was completed ahead of construction schedule and under budget.

Designers and contractors used techniques to eliminate waste, decrease time to create the building and reduce the project’s cost.
