BankSouth’s Lorie Petersen Triple Award Winner at 2017 Oconee County Chamber of Commerce Awards Ceremony

BankSouth, a family-owned community bank located at 7911 Macon Highway in Watkinsville, Ga., is pleased to announce Lorie Petersen, BankSouth business development officer, was honored at the 2017 annual Oconee County Chamber of Commerce Awards Ceremony. Petersen was a triple-award winner and presented with the Ambassador of the Year Award; the James McClain Leadership Award; and the Sharon Johnson Volunteer Award.
 
The Ambassador of the Year Award is given to the ambassador with the most points obtained through participation and attendance to chamber activities and events. The James McClain Leadership Award is chosen by the participants of the Oconee Chamber Leadership Oconee Program and given to the class member who exemplifies excellent leadership qualities. The Sharon Johnson Volunteer Award, named for chamber volunteer Sharon Johnson, is given to the person who, through their efforts, has made a positive impact in and on Oconee County.
