Georgia State Society to Host Presidential Inaugural Gala January 19th

The Georgia State Society of Washington, D.C., will host a Presidential Inaugural Gala to celebrate the swearing-in of the 45th president of the United States on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at the National Museum of Women in the Arts. Pop music sensation Andy Grammer, whose chart topping hits include “Honey I’m Good” and “Keep your Head Up,” will headline the black-tie event. Andy’s current single “Fresh Eyes” has become a streaming phenomenon. It is currently the #27 ranked song in the world on the Spotify Global Chart, logged over 100 million total streams, Top 10 on iTunes Pop Songs Chart and is quickly growing on the Billboard Hot 100.

As part of the traditional inaugural activities in our nation’s capital, the Georgia State Society of Washington, D.C. Presidential Inaugural Gala promises once again to be a spectacular, bipartisan black-tie reception with fantastic Georgia food, beverages and lively entertainment.

Established in 1885, the Georgia State Society is a social nonprofit organization of Georgians and friends of Georgians living in the Washington D.C. area. Membership is voluntary and includes all types of Georgians in the private and public sectors including students, young professionals, established business professionals, homemakers, teachers, retirees, military personnel, members of Congress and their staff, and executive branch employees.
