St. Mary's Health Care System and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia have signed new agreements that will keep St. Mary's in-network for people enrolled in Blue Cross insurance plans.

"This is great news for our patients and our community," said Don McKenna, President and CEO of St. Mary's. "We are pleased that these positive negotiations with Blue Cross have brought us to this moment. The new agreements allow St. Mary's to continue to invest in technology and services to meet the needs of our growing community."

The new agreements with Blue Cross include all three hospitals in the St. Mary's system of care – St. Mary's Hospital in Athens, St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia and St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Greensboro – as well as all of St. Mary's outpatient clinics and services throughout Northeast Georgia.

"Working together with Blue Cross allows us to further focus on quality and service while we continue to improve the health of our communities," McKenna concluded.
