Food Bank of Northeast Georgia Receives $20K from the Caterpillar Foundation

The Food Bank of Northeast Georgia announced a $20,000 grant from Caterpillar’s philanthropic organization, the Caterpillar Foundation, to provide food to individuals who face hunger in northeast Georgia.

A member of the Feeding America network, the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia is one of 34 food banks nationwide to receive this grant. The funds will go to support the Mobile Pantry program.

Each year, 42 million people in the United States face hunger, including 1 of 3 children in our community.

The Caterpillar Foundation’s national investment will help 300,000 people facing hunger in Caterpillar communities in 44 counties.

The foundation has helped provide more than 5 million meals to Caterpillar communities since 2015.
