Athens-Clarke Commission Could Decide on Transportation Tax Schedule Tuesday

Regardless of whether Athens-Clarke County commissioners decide to hold a referendum on a 1 percent local sales tax for transportation projects in November 2017 or May 2018, the process of getting to either of those dates will overlap discussion of continuing the separate 1 percent local sales tax in place for a wide array of infrastructure projects.
