Seven Athens Academy seniors were recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Program for their performance in the October 2015 PSAT.

The National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic competition that provides scholarships and awards for academic excellence.

Kevin Yin was named a semifinalist and will continue in the competition for Merit Scholarship awards.

Harper Cline, Jarod Gilliam, Nathan Glushka,
Noah Johnson, Julian Shelnutt and Annabelle Woodard were recognized as National Merit Commended Students.

Athens Academy has accounted for 37 percent of all National Merit Semifinalists in Clarke and Oconee counties since 2007.
