AT&T is contributing $25,000 to the American Red Cross of Southeast and Coastal Georgia to help restore Georgia communities following Hurricane Matthew.
The contribution is part of the company’s $100,000 commitment to provide relief for those affected by the hurricane. Of that total, the American Red Cross of Southeast and Coastal Georgia will receive $25,000 to support aid to those in the state where needs are the greatest.
“In these difficult circumstances, we have all seen, and many of us have experienced first-hand, the strength and commitment that our residents and businesses show to our vibrant community,” said Eddie DeLoach, Mayor of the City of Savannah. “This contribution is symbolic of our community spirit and demonstrates how even in the most challenging times, we can find opportunities to overcome and succeed.”
“As businesses and residents across the coastline work to restore their communities, we see many examples of Georgians overcoming tough challenges and supporting their neighbors,” said Bill Leahy president of AT&T-Georgia. “At AT&T, we are committed to providing the communication resources which are needed every day and which are especially important in times like these. But we are also committed to doing our part to help our friends, neighbors and communities recover from disasters like this storm.”
