AT&T Expands Access to Gigabit Speeds to Businesses across Georgia
Thursday, September 1st, 2016
AT&T is bringing gigabit internet speeds to even more businesses across Georgia. With AT&T Business Fiber, more businesses can download and upload up to 1 gigabit per second.
These locations are also being designated as AT&T Fiber Ready locations. The AT&T Fiber Ready designation allows property owners to more effectively highlight ready access to the high-speed infrastructure that businesses demand.
AT&T Business Fiber is now available at select locations in these communities and many others across Georgia:

"For years, we have offered business customers gigabit connections. But through AT&T Business Fiber, we are speeding deployment of these high-speed connections to our business customers, offering fast and reliable network solutions to stay connected and competitive," said Bill Leahy, president of AT&T Georgia. "Georgia is a great state for business, and we are investing heavily in our fiber-optics infrastructure, deploying increased speeds to both business and residential consumers across the state."
With internet speeds up to 1Gbps businesses can:
-
Download 8,000 word processing documents in 1 second.
-
Download a 2-hour high definition video in 36 seconds.
-
Backup/restore 1 terabyte hard drive in 2.5 hours.
We're also launching nationwide U-verse Business Voice over AT&T Business Fiber. The voice over IP phone service delivers great sound quality and high reliability as calls travel over the internet.
AT&T Invests in Georgia
AT&T has aggressively expanded its fiber footprint over the past few years, both to consumers and businesses. We have expanded coverage to reach over 1 million incremental business customer locations in the US, with over 60,000 of those in Georgia. We currently have around 1,300 multi-tenant office buildings that are live with AT&T Business Fiber in Georgia. And we will continue to build out to keep pace with growing demand.
AT&T invested nearly $5.5 billion in our Georgia wireless and wireline networks from 2013 through 2015.
